What studies found

In 2025 an AI model built by Google and Yale (C2S-Scale) screened more than 4,000 drugs and predicted that the experimental drug silmitasertib, given with low-dose interferon, would make tumor cells easier for the immune system to see. In human cells in the lab, the drug alone did nothing, interferon alone had a small effect, and together they raised the markers immune cells recognize by about 50%.

The catch

Lab cells only. The researchers call it an early first step that still needs animal studies and then trials in people, and the work had not been peer reviewed when announced.

What to do

Nothing to ask for or take yet. If you want to try new approaches, ask your oncologist about clinical trials.
