What the evidence shows
No clinical trial of the diet has been published. Cancer Research UK says there is no scientific evidence that it treats or cures cancer; research on flaxseed itself is early, mostly lab and animal work.
What to do
Flaxseed is fine as food, but don't use the diet in place of treatment, and talk to a dietitian before cutting out foods during treatment.
